Custom Wine Room – San Clemente, CA

What was once an unfinished basement is now a fully realized wine room designed to feel timeless, intimate, and deeply personal. Every element of this space was designed and built by hand — from the custom cabinetry and wine storage to the stair construction, tile setting, architectural lighting, doors, and the veneered exposed beams — all crafted to honor both wine and craftsmanship.

 

The wood palette was hand selected with purpose and vision, blending African mahogany, walnut, and Brazilian cherry to flow together with comfort and grace. Handmade mahogany louvered barn doors anchor the room with warmth and texture, while Spanish-inspired tile and thoughtfully layered lighting bring an Old-World soul to the space.

 

Smart storage and a seamless under-stair layout keep the room highly functional, yet the overall feeling is one of ease and invitation. The result is a space that feels collected, not constructed — encouraging you to linger, pour a glass, and enjoy the moment.

 

Most rewarding of all, the homeowners love it — what was once an unrealized space has become their favorite place in the house, where they now spend time gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the life it was always meant to hold.
