Casa de Marca Courtyard Fountain

255 Avenida Lobeiro · San Clemente, California

Designed and built by award-winning designer and San Clemente resident Erick Allen, this custom courtyard fountain is a contemporary homage to the Spanish Colonial Revival architecture that defines historic San Clemente.

Inspired by the work of early 20th-century architect Carl Lindbom, whose legacy includes Casa Romantica and La Casa Pacifica, the fountain reflects the same enduring principles—classical proportion, symmetry, handcrafted materials, and water as a central organizing element.

The octagonal form, hand-set decorative tile, terracotta coping, bronze dolphin figures, and elevated basin were carefully composed to feel timeless rather than new—anchoring the courtyard as a place of gathering, movement, and reflection.

This fountain was made possible by the generosity, kindness, and shared vision of Scott and Norma Grannis, whose support and enthusiasm were essential to bringing this project to life.

Historic inspiration. Local craftsmanship. Enduring design.
